Frequently Asked Questions

💲 Pricing & Fees
What does a dumpster rental cost in Lubbock?
Our flat-rate pricing: 10 Yard — $275 · 20 Yard — $395 · 30 Yard — $450 · 40 Yard — $525. All prices include delivery, pickup, and disposal. No fuel surcharges, no hidden fees.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The flat price covers everything — delivery, 7-day rental, pickup, and disposal. The only extra is if you exceed the weight limit or keep it longer than agreed. We tell you the weight limit upfront.
What if I go over the weight limit?
We’ll contact you before pickup if we suspect a weight issue. Overages are billed at the disposal facility’s rate — no markup. Heavy materials like concrete and dirt should be discussed upfront.
📦 Dumpster Sizes
What size do I need for a garage cleanout?
Single-car garage: 10-yard. Two-car garage with years of stuff: 20-yard. When in doubt, go with the 20 — it’s only $120 more and avoids needing a second container.
What size for a bathroom or kitchen remodel?
Single bathroom: 10-yard. Full kitchen gut — cabinets, tile, drywall: 20-yard. Both at once: 20 or 30.
What’s the most popular size?
The 20-yard is our most rented size. It covers the majority of residential jobs — cleanouts, remodels, and estate sales — without being overkill.
🚚 Delivery & Pickup
Can I get same-day delivery?
Yes. Order before noon and we’ll have a dumpster at your location that same afternoon. We serve all of Lubbock and Lubbock County, including Wolfforth and Shallowater.
Where can you drop the dumpster?
Driveways, yards, alleys, gravel pads, or paved commercial lots. Most residential driveways in Lubbock work fine for 10 and 20-yard dumpsters.
What if I need to extend my rental?
Call us before the 7-day window closes. We’ll extend it. Extra days are billed at a daily rate — we’ll quote that when you book.
🗑️ What Can I Throw Away?
What can I put in the dumpster?
Household junk, furniture, mattresses, appliances (fridges, washers, dryers, water heaters), construction debris (drywall, wood, tile, roofing shingles), yard waste, and renovation materials.
What can I NOT throw in?
Hazardous materials: motor oil, paint cans, chemicals, pesticides, propane tanks, car batteries, and tires. These go to the Lubbock County hazardous waste facility. Call us if unsure about an item.
Can I throw away concrete or dirt?
Yes, but heavy materials have stricter weight limits. Call us for a separate quote on heavy material loads.
📋 Permits
Do I need a permit for my driveway?
No — if the dumpster stays on your private property (driveway, yard, or alley), you don’t need a city permit. The vast majority of our residential customers never deal with a permit.
What if I need it on the street?
Placing on a public street typically requires a City of Lubbock permit. We’ll walk you through it — it’s simpler than it sounds.

More Questions Lubbock Customers Ask Us

Can I put a dumpster on my Lubbock HOA property?

Most HOAs in Lubbock — particularly in Wolfforth, South Lubbock, and the Raintree/Lakeridge neighborhoods — allow temporary dumpsters for renovation projects as long as they’re placed on private property (your driveway, not the street). Some HOAs have time limits of 5–10 days and restrictions on container size. We’ve worked in most Lubbock HOA communities and can advise you during booking on what to expect. Always check your CC&Rs first — we can’t be liable for HOA violations, but we’ll help you avoid them.

What happens if my dumpster fills up before I’m done?

Call us before it overflows — an overfull dumpster is a liability and we can’t haul it safely with debris sticking above the container walls. We offer same-day or next-day swap-outs where we pick up your full container and drop an empty one in its place. Swap-out fees are $75–$125 depending on the size and timing. During busy seasons (hail season in spring, TTU move-out in August), call as early as possible — swap-out availability fills fast.

Do you deliver to Slaton, Idalou, or Ransom Canyon?

Yes. We deliver to Slaton (79364), Idalou (79329), Ransom Canyon (79366), Buffalo Springs Lake, Abernathy (79311), and Levelland (79336) for 20-yard containers and larger. Smaller communities within 30 miles of central Lubbock are generally covered — call us to confirm your address. There may be a small delivery surcharge for locations beyond 20 miles.

Can I load construction debris like drywall and lumber?

Yes — drywall, lumber, insulation, roofing shingles, metal studs, flooring, and most construction debris is accepted. The main restrictions are hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint), liquid paint, and anything with refrigerant. Drywall is heavy — a 10-yard filled with drywall alone hits its weight limit quickly. If your job is mostly drywall, a 14-yard mixed with lighter material is a smarter choice. Our team can help you estimate weight during booking.

How does billing work for contractors in Lubbock?

Contractors and property managers can set up a net-15 or net-30 billing account with us. We issue clean itemized invoices per job or per rental period — no bundled charges, no surprise line items. Many of the GCs and property managers we work with across Lubbock prefer invoicing over credit card payments for larger jobs. Call our office to set up an account and we’ll get you onboarded the same day.

Is there a difference between a roll-off and a regular dumpster?

Yes. A roll-off dumpster is an open-top rectangular container that’s delivered and picked up by a specialized truck with a hydraulic roll-off system. It’s designed for temporary use — home renovations, construction, cleanouts. A regular or “front-load” dumpster is the permanent kind you see at apartment complexes and businesses, emptied by a garbage truck on a weekly schedule. We rent roll-off dumpsters only, which is what most Lubbock homeowners and contractors need for project-based work.

What’s the best day to book for a weekend job in Lubbock?

Book by Thursday if you want Saturday or Sunday delivery — weekend slots fill by Friday morning during busy season. We’re open 7 days a week and consistently deliver on weekends, which most Lubbock competitors don’t. If you need same-day Saturday delivery, call before 10am — we’ll do our best to accommodate but can’t guarantee availability past that window on busy spring weekends.

Can I share a dumpster with my neighbor in Lubbock?

Technically yes — if both of you are on private property and the container is placed in a location accessible to both. In practice, shared dumpsters work well for adjacent homes doing coordinated projects (two neighbors cleaning out garages at the same time, for example). The rental is in one name and one address — both parties load it, and we pick it up when it’s full or the rental period ends. Call us to discuss logistics if you’re thinking about sharing, as weight limits and placement logistics matter in this scenario.

Do you charge extra for stairs or difficult access?

No. Our flat-rate pricing includes delivery and placement regardless of whether your property has a circular driveway, a rear-access lot, or a tight side-yard entry. The only surcharge we ever add is a same-day rush fee ($35, peak season only) and standard weight overage if you exceed your container’s limit. Difficult placement — including properties with overhead lines, caliche driveways, or tight urban lots in Tech Terrace — is part of the job, not a reason to charge you more.
